The Best Colleges for your Astrological Sign: Virgo 

The data is in, the numbers are organized, the girlies have been gathered; we are ready to present you with another iteration of our Astrologically guided college lists. 

Although this is a fun thought experiment for categorizing the personalities of the collegiate world, it is not a science. We assemble our lists based on stereotypes of different sun signs and where their instincts and interests might be comfortable. Regardless of how much fun this is, we do not recommend basing your college decision on Astrology. But if you could use a playful new lens for your research, read on!

Those born between August 23rd and September 22nd may be the most hardworking, organized, and meticulous among us. If color-coded schedules are more tempting than a pint of Ben and Jerry’s, you might just be a Virgo. Here is a college list for the ultimate list lovers.

Johns Hopkins 

There are plenty of opportunities for hard work and high standards at Johns Hopkins University. A vibrant campus tucked into charming Baltimore, Maryland, this is an environment full of inspiration. Offering 400 exciting academic programs spanning from the arts to engineering, Hopkins students pursue diverse interests with passionate focus. If you are interested in a career in medicine, consider majoring in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Public Health Studies, or a combination of their reputable pre-medical tracks. 

UNC Chapel Hill

A large school in the Raleigh Area of North Carolina, UNC Chapel Hill is a community-oriented college experience. If you are still craving more numbers, consider a B.A. in Data Science, which will provide you with the technical knowledge and expertise to advance you in many fields. 

Lehigh University

A private research university in Eastern Pennsylvania, Lehigh is a vibrant academic community within the beautiful college town of Bethlehem. With five colleges, 111 undergraduate degree programs and majors, 13 undergraduate interdisciplinary programs, and a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio, this is an environment for your intellect to thrive. For those of you who are called to the medical world, Lehigh provides all med school prerequisites, from Organic Chemistry to Psychology. They even offer an Early Assurance Program with the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where qualified Juniors head on their medical career path at St. Luke’s University Hospital. 

University of Washington

The University of Washington is a multifaceted university in Seattle, Washington operating on a quarter-based semester system. Northwestern 

Our Midwestern Virgos (or those who feel the Chicago wind calling) should definitely apply to Northwestern University. Located in Evanstown, Illinois, Northwestern is known for student engagement and exciting challenges. With 3 campuses, 12 schools and colleges, and over 500 student organizations and clubs, you will find plenty of ways to fill your schedule. The school boasts the first Psychology course ever in the midwest, and the department’s legacy to thrive. This could be a great fit for those who are drawn to helping others. 

University of Chicago

One more Illinois option, but this time we take you to the heart of the city. The University of Chicago has everything you could crave in a college experience: a student-driven curriculum, state-of-the-art research facilities, and boundary-pushing professors. Among its 12 Schools and colleges are a plethora of Pre-Med eligible programs, everywhere from Biological Sciences, Computational Neuroscience, Molecular Engineering, and even a pre-professional Health Professions program. 

Okay Virgo, we are sorry to say that our list is coming to a close. We know that if anyone could double it in size and effectiveness, it would be you. For your incredibly hardworking, organized, creative, and practical self, the college process should honestly be a walk in the park.
